About

PhareRouge is a GNU/Linux-compatible variety of Red Light Variety Alpha 
(Red Light VA) which is a variety of Red Light (original version) 
which was originated by Pascal Haakmat (http://redlight.wox.org/). 
PhareRouge is online communication software corresponding to the 
Hotline protocol. And the program is written in Java programming 
language and is licensed under the GPL (GNU General Public License). 
PhareRouge is developped by Yukinoroh and Red Light VA 
was developed by MackyBee.

System requirements

Java Run-time Environment version 1.5.0_06 (it *could* work with other JRE).
It can be downloaded from Sun's site: 
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.html

Running

Double-click on pharerouge.bat (Windows) or pharerouge.sh (other OSes), 
or type the following command line to a prompt as follows: 

java -Xms8m -Xmx16m -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:+UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -jar pharerouge.ja

Uninstallation

1. Delete the folder containing the extracted application files. 

2. Delete the configuration folder from your home directory. 
   (On Windows, the home directory is somethign like "Windows" or "Win98SE",
   on other OSes, it is ~/ ). If you want, you can use the delconfdir.bat (Windows)
   or delconfdir.sh (other OSes) to perform this step.
   On other OSes,

Troubleshooting

If font settings got corrupted or do not support the character set of the locale you
chose, double click on clear_font_settings.bat (Windows) or clear_font_settings.sh 
(other OSes) to clear them.

Other command-line options

To view usage, input this to a prompt: 
java -jar pharerouge.jar -h
